Biography

Mark MacLean is a neurosurgeon originally from Nova Scotia. He completed his medical school and residency at Dalhousie University and then pursued a fellowship in complex spinal surgery and neurotrauma at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. During his time there, he served on the medical staff of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His research is primarily focused on brain and spine trauma, particularly in translating laboratory-based mechanisms into clinical settings. Dr. MacLean has clinical interests that include adult spinal deformity surgery and scoliosis.
