Dr. Mark Mahon

Biography

Mark P. Mahon is a Teaching Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Pennsylvania State University. He has a rich academic background including a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering/Physics from the University of Scranton, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State, and a Ph.D. in Acoustics from Penn State. His research interests encompass a range of areas including mobile communications, computer systems, networks, protocols, applications, security, wireless networks, geolocation, wideband signal processing, and machine learning. He has made significant contributions to the field through various journal articles and conference proceedings, showcasing a commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in technology. He plays an active role as an undergraduate academic advisor and is involved in several student organizations at Penn State, where he provides guidance in projects related to machine learning, distributed ledger technologies, and AI challenges.
