Biography

Mark B. Salter is a Full Professor in the School of Political Studies at the University of Ottawa. He was awarded the Canadian Political Science Association Teaching Excellence Prize in 2014 and received the National Capital Educator's Award for Excellence in Education from the University of Ottawa in 2007. He has served as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities at Wolfson College and as a Visiting Scholar at the Centre of International Studies at the University of Cambridge. Salter has made significant contributions to the fields of International Relations Theory, Security Studies, and International Political Sociology, with specific research interests in Borders and Airport Security. He has edited several important volumes and issues related to Critical Security Studies and has been involved in the editorial process for the journal Security Dialogue, enhancing interdisciplinary dialogue related to security studies.
