Dr. Mark Sellmyer

Biography

Mark Anthony Sellmyer, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in Nuclear Radiology and Molecular Imaging, focusing on Cancer Imaging and Therapy as well as Infection and Inflammation treatments. Dr. Sellmyer is actively involved in several prestigious programs and centers, including the Chemistry Biology Interfaces Program and the Abramson Cancer Center, where he contributes as a member. He holds various roles, such as Co-Director of the Center for Translational Chemical Biology at the University of Pennsylvania and Director of the Small Animal Imaging Facility. His education includes a BS in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MD from Stanford Medical School, and a PhD in Chemical Systems Biology. Dr. Sellmyer's expertise extends to Synthetic Biology and Nuclear Imaging therapy.
