Biography

Mark C. R. Smith is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Queen's University. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Ottawa and both a Master's and a Doctorate from Queen's University. Professor Smith specializes in various domains of philosophy including Mathematics, Metaphysics, and Early Modern Philosophy, with a particular focus on Descartes and comparative classical philosophies. He regularly teaches courses in metaphysics, philosophy of mathematics, early modern philosophy, Descartes, and comparative classical philosophies, which include Greek, Indian, and Chinese traditions. His research interests are deeply rooted in the examination of philosophical ideations concerning logic, morals, and the normative aspects of agent life.
