Biography

Mark Zachary Taylor is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the GTDC Program at the Jimmy Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy. He specializes in Science and Technology politics, policy, and the political economy of the American presidency. His research interests include understanding the sources of national economic competitiveness and the role of the presidency in economic performance. Taylor has published extensively in journals such as Foreign Affairs and Security Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from MIT, an MA in International Relations from Yale University, and a BA in Physics from UC Berkeley. Taylor has also received multiple awards for his teaching and innovation in co-curricular education. His primary research focuses on globalization, political economy, and science and technology policy.
