Biography

Mark Weder is a Professor at Aarhus University, specializing in Applied Macroeconomic Theory. His research interests encompass business cycle theory, market psychology, multiple equilibria, monetary economics, and economic histories of Germany and the United States, including the Great Depression. He is particularly focused on firm dynamics, market power, inequality, and labor markets. Weder has held notable positions at the University of Adelaide and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and has been a visiting scholar at various prestigious institutions, including Barnard College, NYU, UCLA, and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Furthermore, he has collaborated with researchers from institutions such as Le Mans University and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. His academic qualifications include a PhD in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin, achieved in 1997, emphasizing his extensive experience and profound knowledge in the field of economics.
