Biography

Mark Zoback is the Benjamin M. Page Professor of Geophysics, Emeritus, at Stanford University and serves as the Director of the Stanford Natural Gas Initiative. With extensive experience in stress and fault mechanics, his research emphasizes reservoir geomechanics related to shale gas and tight oil production and the long-term geologic storage of CO2.
