Biography

Markos Valaris is an Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales, specializing in the philosophy of mind and epistemology. He completed his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh in 2008, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, awarded in 2001. As an Associate Editor for the Australasian Journal of Philosophy, he actively contributes to the field. Currently, Valaris supervises PhD and Honours projects on topics including moral psychology, self-knowledge, cognitive science debates, and robot ethics. He teaches various courses related to these areas, focusing on critical texts such as Kant's 'Critique of Pure Reason'.
