Biography

Markus Adloff is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol, where he specializes in numerical Earth system models to understand the links between climate, biogeochemical cycles, and environmental change as preserved in geologic archives. His research interests include internal variabilities of the carbon cycle and their reactions to external forcings throughout Earth's history. He is adept at developing numerical Earth system models and conducting sensitivity studies, testing scenarios against empirical evidence. During his PhD, Markus investigated Oceanic Anoxic Events, which are significant perturbations in the oceanic carbon cycle throughout geological time. He holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Meteorology.
