Professor Markus Becherer researches magnetic components, specifically in the realm of spin-based signal processing and sensing. His focus includes ferro and ferrimagnetic materials, nanoscale patterning, as well as electrical and optical characterization methods. He completed his vocational training at Sick AG and studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he graduated with a Doctorate in Engineering in 2011 and habilitated in 2017.
