Biography

Markus Boos is an attending pediatric dermatologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He serves as Co-Director of the UW Department of Dermatology Residency Training Program. His clinical interests include caring for children with skin disorders, with a special focus on primary cutaneous lymphoma and the cutaneous manifestations of immunodeficiency, as well as advocacy for LGBTQ health. He values diversity and aims to create a safe space in his clinic for patients and families regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation. In his personal life, Markus is a gay father who enjoys spending time with his children, reading, running, and swimming. He is a dedicated sports fan, cheering for the Detroit Red Wings, San Antonio Spurs, and Seattle Seahawks. He has been honored as a top doctor by Seattle Met Magazine in 2016 and 2020 and has received the UW Derm John Olerud Resident Teaching Award in 2021.
