Markus Freitag is a Professor of Political Sociology at the University of Bern. He studied political science and economics at Heidelberg University, obtaining his Magister Artium degree in 1995. He has published extensively in leading academic journals such as the British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Politics, and Public Opinion Quarterly.
