Biography

Markus Meissner is a professor at the Chair of Experimental Parasitology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). His research focuses on protozoan parasites, which are organisms with a unique evolutionary history and adaptation mechanisms. Meissner's work emphasizes understanding the biochemical pathways and gene regulation mechanisms of these eukaryotes, particularly how they compare and contrast with their host organisms.
