Markus Naarttijärvi's research focuses on constitutional rights and the rule of law, particularly at the intersection of technology, security, and human rights. His teaching focuses on constitutional law and human rights, where he teaches and coordinates the master's program in Constitutional Law and Human Rights. Furthermore, Naarttijärvi has led projects on cyber-security from a legal perspective and has contributed to the field through his editorial work with the Journal of Digital Social Research.
