Biography

Marta Cenkowski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Queen's University. With a background in Anaesthesia from the University of Manitoba, she possesses extensive training in Obstetrical Anesthesia and has developed a keen interest in the intersection of anesthesiology and transfusion medicine. Her clinical academic interests primarily focus on Obstetrical Anesthesia and Hematology, where she actively contributes to the development of protocols and guidelines aimed at ensuring patient safety and optimal care during surgeries. Dr. Cenkowski also serves on the Transfusion Medicine Advisory Committee and holds the position of Associate Director for Postgraduate Medical Education in the Faculty of Medicine at Queen's University, reflecting her commitment to shaping the training of future medical professionals. As a dedicated educator, she strives to instill a passion for learning and evidence-based practice in her students.
