Dr. Marta Straznicky

Biography

Marta Straznicky is a Professor at Queen's University's Department of English Literature and Creative Writing. She holds a PhD from the University of Ottawa. Her research interests encompass Early Modern theatre, print culture, women's drama, household theatre, history theory, landscape architecture, and life writing. Marta explores intriguing intersections of Diaspora and Globalization Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Performance Studies, and the various facets of Print Culture and Textual Studies. Additionally, she has a keen focus on genres and forms such as Autobiography, Memoir, and Travel Writing. With a comprehensive academic background, she contributes significantly to the understanding of these areas within literary studies, engaging with both historical and contemporary texts.
