Biography

Marta Wereszka is a graduate of Murdoch University in Western Australia, where she completed her BVMS in 2002. Following her graduation, she finished a neonatal critical care internship and subsequently undertook an equine surgical residency at the Marion duPont Equine Medical Centre in the USA. Dr. Wereszka has worked at various equine hospitals, including the Ballarat Equine Hospital in Victoria and the Morphettville Equine Hospital in South Australia. She achieved American specialist board certification in Equine Surgery and has been working at the University of Sydney since 2008. In 2017, she began certification in large and small animal acupuncture and is currently treating horses with acupuncture at the Camden Equine Hospital. Her special interests include upper airway surgery, abdominal surgery, post-operative care of emergency patients, septic synovial structures, wound care, and minimally invasive surgical techniques using CO2 diode laser.
