Biography

Martha Field is the Langdell Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. She graduated valedictorian from the University of Chicago Law School in 1968 and has an extensive legal career. Field clerked for Justice Abe Fortas of the United States Supreme Court and later joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she taught for nine years before moving to Harvard.
