Biography

Martin Antony is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University and holds a Professorship in the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. He has a PhD from the University at Albany, State University of New York, completed between 1988 and 1994. His work primarily focuses on health, clinical counseling psychology, and he has been recognized as a founding director of the Anxiety Treatment Research Program. In addition to his professorships, Dr. Antony serves as the Provincial Clinical Lead for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program. He is a certified therapist and trainer in cognitive behavioral therapies, recognized by both the Canadian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies and the American Board of Professional Psychology. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, further establishing his expertise in the field of clinical psychology and treatment methodologies for anxiety disorders.
