Biography

Martin Brooke received a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Auckland University, New Zealand, in 1981, and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1984 and 1988, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University. Brooke has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Analog Devices Career Development Award from 1988 to 1993 and the National Science Foundation Research Initiation Award in 1990. He received the Myril B. Reed Paper Award at the 1992 IEEE Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems and the Outstanding Thesis Advisor Award from Georgia Tech in 2003. Throughout his career, Dr. Brooke has graduated twenty PhD students and holds eight U.S. patents. He has published over 160 articles in technical journals and proceedings, with his work featured in various trade publications. Additionally, Brooke is a senior member of IEEE and has been involved in several research teams focusing on sensing and imaging research interests, particularly in analog, RF, and optoelectronic circuits, as well as sensor interface circuits and deployable sensor systems.
