Biography

Martin Roest Christensen is a Forensic Pathologist and Medical Doctor affiliated with the Department of Forensic Medicine at Aarhus University. He became a certified Forensic Pathologist in 2022 after completing his PhD in 2018 at the University of Copenhagen. His career in forensic medicine began in 2013 at the University of Copenhagen, where he also served as a physician in the Danish Armed Forces Medical Corps. His responsibilities include performing autopsies to determine the cause and manner of death, examining living cases related to violence and/or sexual assault, documenting injuries, and collecting DNA evidence. His special research interests include forensic neuropathology and trauma-based injuries to the brain. Over the years, he has contributed to multiple research outputs between 2013 and 2025.
