Biography

Martin Lolle Christensen is a postdoctoral researcher at the iCourts - Centre of Excellence for International Courts and Governance at the University of Copenhagen. His academic work primarily focuses on Public International Law, International Regional Human Rights Law, and International Legal Theory, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and legal methods. Christensen's research includes the TEMPTATION project, which investigates the 'empirical turn' in international legal scholarship and is funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark. He holds a Ph.D. from the European University Institute, where his doctoral thesis examined judicial borrowing among regional human rights courts. Prior to this, he worked as a research assistant on the Dogma Data project at iCourts, contributing to the analysis of computational methods, particularly in citation network analysis within legal research. He has a strong educational background in law, having earned both a Master's degree in Comparative and European International Laws as well as a Master's of Laws from the University of Copenhagen.
