Biography

Martin Héroux is a trained physiotherapist who completed his research Master's degree at the University of Ottawa and obtained his PhD from Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. He has completed post-doctoral training at the University of British Columbia and has worked at Neuroscience Research Australia for five years. His research spans various areas including human motor neuron physiology, muscle function, and biomechanics. Héroux has a significant interest in human proprioception and sensorimotor control. He has also investigated issues surrounding poor reporting in biomedical science. Currently, Dr. Héroux serves as a Senior Post-doctoral Fellow at Neuroscience Research Australia and is a conjoint lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences at UNSW.
