Biography

Professor Martin Kunc obtained his PhD in Decision Science from London Business School. Before joining the University of Southampton, he served as an Assistant Professor in Strategic Management at Adolfo Ibanez Business School in Chile and as an Associate Professor of Management Science at Warwick Business School. Prior to his academic career, Martin was a consultant with Arthur Andersen, focusing on independent consulting projects in multiple industries, including media, pharmaceuticals, financial services, consumer goods, cement, and wine. He is currently the interim Director of the Centre for Healthcare Analytics and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Operational Research Society. His research interests lie at the intersection of management science and behavioral science, emphasizing the use of analytics to support strategic decision-making. Martin Kunc has been recognized in the Stanford 2% Global Scientist Citation Rankings multiple times between 2020 and 2024.
