Biography

Martin Miller is an Assistant Professor of Practice at Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning (AAP). He is primarily concerned with exploring the intersection of physical and virtual realities, particularly in the context of the digital onslaught defining future landscapes. Co-founding the design office AntiStatics Architecture based in Beijing and New York City, he leads projects that strive to find a balance in converging existences through the use of emerging technologies. Recent notable works include MaoHaus, a responsive installation featuring a thin-shell concrete façade that reveals embedded imagery; Pussy Hut, an inhabitable installation honoring the Women's Rights movement; and Catenaries, an art piece that provokes spatial definition through air-driven responsiveness. Miller holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in Mathematics. He teaches graduate studios and seminars that focus on the implementation of computational design techniques, artificial intelligence, simulation, and robotic fabrication.
