Biography

Martin Vechev is a full professor in the Department of Computer Science at ETH Zurich, where he leads the Secure, Reliable, Intelligent Systems Lab. He is the founder and architect of INSAIT, a world-class research center in computer science and artificial intelligence located in Eastern Europe, which was created in partnership with ETH Zurich and EPFL. Before joining ETH Zurich, he worked as a research staff member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in New York from 2007 to 2011. Martin obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in England between 2003 and 2008 and completed his B.Sc. at Simon Fraser University in Canada from 1996 to 2001. Martin has been actively involved in academic research and education throughout his career, establishing himself as a leading expert in his field.
