Martina Bär has been an associate professor at the Seminar for Catholic Theology at Freie Universität Berlin since April 2018. She completed her habilitation in 2018 at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen with her work "Urban Logic and Theo-Logic: Speaking of God in (Post-)Modern Urban Societies." Bär completed her doctoral study on the theological implications of the image of God, which earned her the Maria-Kassel Prize for promising young researchers at the University of Münster. She has served as a scientific employee in various theological faculties, contributing significantly to the fields of systematic theology and religious dialogue. Her primary research interests include the theology of urban spaces, theological anthropology, philosophical hermeneutics, and interreligious dialogue. Throughout her academic career, Bär has contributed to numerous publications and has engaged in various teaching roles across multiple universities, focusing on topics such as sacraments, ethics, and systematic theology.
