Biography

Martina Lahmann is a lecturer at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in Organic Chemistry and the Life Science interface through Chemical Biology. She received her diploma in Chemistry from the University of Hamburg, Germany, in 1994 and continued her education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 1997. Following her Ph.D., she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Stockholm University under Professors J. Garegg and Stefan Oscarson. In 2002, she moved to the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, where she supervised part of Professor Oscarson's group and taught Organic Chemistry, while developing her independent research. In September 2005, she received her Docent degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Gothenburg. From September 2007 until 2021, she was associated with Bangor University in Wales, UK, where she served first as a lecturer and later as a senior lecturer. Her courses include Chemistry and Mathematics for the Technical Preparatory Year and Sustainability Ergonomics. In 2020, she was awarded an honorary lectureship at Bangor University.
