Biography

Martina Manara is currently a Lecturer in Urban Planning at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London, and serves as a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the School of Geography and Planning, University of Sheffield. She has previously held positions as a Research Officer and ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she also worked as a Guest Lecturer. She holds a PhD and MSc in Regional Urban Planning Studies from LSE, where her dissertation examined critical issues in urban transformation and policy. She is committed to contributing to sustainable urban development through advisory activities, consultancy, and community engagement. Her research interests align with several Sustainable Development Goals, including reducing inequalities and promoting sustainable cities and communities.
