Dr. Mary Barden

Biography

Mary Barden, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology specializing in Neuro-Oncology at Yale School of Medicine. She is part of the Chênevert Family Brain Tumor Center at Smilow Cancer Hospital and the Yale Cancer Center. Dr. Barden provides comprehensive care for patients with brain tumors and addresses the neurological challenges that arise from these conditions. She emphasizes the need for a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and works closely with social workers, oncology care coordinators, and palliative care providers to ensure the best outcomes for her patients. Dr. Barden received her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and specializes in neuro-oncology. She also serves as the Director of the Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program. Dr. Barden actively encourages her patients to engage in open conversations regarding participation in clinical trials, as she believes these discussions are vital for providing the best care possible.
