Biography

Mary Jane England, MD, is an Emeritus Professor at Boston University's School of Public Health. Having served as president of Regis College for ten years, she previously led the Massachusetts Department of Social Services. Recently, she has re-entered the health policy field at BUSPH, following an invitation from Dean Bob Meenan. Dr. England focuses on projects aimed at reviewing mental health services for students on the medical campus, with scheduled completion in December. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the National Academy of Public Administration Award and the Elizabeth Blackwell Medal from the American Women's Medical Association.
