Biography

Professor Lynch’s research interests focus on the development of novel agents for the treatment of chronic neuropathic pain and the role of complementary therapies in managing chronic pain, such as Qigong and the creation of art to express the pain experience. She is involved in improving service delivery and critical access to care for people suffering from chronic pain. With an academic background that includes a Bachelor of Science and a Medical Doctorate from Dalhousie University, as well as specialized training in Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurology, her expertise is supported by her role as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Canada. Lynch has received several awards recognizing her contributions in the field of pain management and has held leadership positions in national pain societies.
