Biography

Mary Davis Michaud is a dedicated educator and experienced health policy professional, passionate about engaging students in learning experiences beyond simply delivering courses. At the La Follette School of Public Affairs, she has designed and implemented innovative curricula that bridge theory and practice, preparing students for policy analysis training across a wide range of careers in health care, research, and government. With decades of experience in program management, program evaluation, and leadership roles in health administration and public health, Mary's teaching reflects deep skills in qualitative research, survey design, and professional facilitation. Her work has focused on addressing a wide range of health policy issues, including chronic disease prevention, community health, and health equity. Mary founded a thriving consulting practice, Health & Social Impact Strategies, which specializes in strategic planning, organizational development, and program evaluation. She has developed a proven track record of designing and facilitating engaging and impactful learning experiences for clients in government, education, hospitality, and healthcare.
