Biography

Mary Ann Polewski is the Administrative Director of the Legal Analysis, Advocacy, and Writing Program at the University of Wisconsin Law School. After graduating from UW Law School in 1981, she has held various positions within the program, including full-time Director for eight years. Ms. Polewski's experience includes serving as Assistant Director, Program Scheduling Coordinator, and Advisor for the Citation Curriculum. In her current role, she performs numerous administrative and curricular duties for the LAAW Program, including preparing curriculum materials for legal citation in both fall and spring courses. Additionally, she has co-taught a three-credit teaching assistant training course titled Methods of Teaching Legal Writing and has taught Advanced Legal Writing over the years. Her extensive experience in legal education has contributed significantly to the development of the legal writing curriculum at the university.
