Mary M. Reilly graduated from University College Dublin in 1986, received her MD in 1996, and was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2002 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2003. She was appointed consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in 1998 and became a Professor of Neurology at University College London in 2010. She leads the peripheral nerve clinical research group and is the head of the Division of Clinical Neurology at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology. Mary has served as Past President of the Association of British Neurologists (ABN) and the British Peripheral Nerve Society (BPNS), and she has also been Past President of the International Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS). Currently, she is the chair of the Guarantors of Brain. In 2020, she was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and was awarded a Fellowship from the European Academy of Neurology in 2023.
