Biography

Dr. Maryam Al-Hayki is an Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. She has established a distinguished career in gynecologic oncology, specializing in the treatment of ovarian cancer. Dr. Al-Hayki completed her Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain, where she also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She obtained further qualifications including MRCOG in the UK and Arab Board Medical Specialization in OB/GYN. Dr. Al-Hayki advanced her training through a Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship at the University of Ottawa, which she completed in 2006, followed by a research fellowship in Medical Oncology with a focus on Ovarian Cancer and High-Risk Assessment at the Women’s Breast Health Center, University of Ottawa, in 2007. She actively teaches medical students and residents at the University of Saskatchewan and is involved in clinical practice as well.
