Biography

Maryam Farboodi is an Associate Professor in the Finance area at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She is an applied theorist whose research focuses on the economics of big data applications in finance and macroeconomics. Farboodi has developed methodologies to estimate the value of data and studies intermediation, network formation among financial institutions, and spillovers in the real economy.
