Professor Dr. Maryrose Mazzola

Biography

MaryRose Mazzola is an attorney and public policy expert with a decade of legal, legislative, and research campaign experience. She currently serves as the Chief External Affairs Officer at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and the Executive Director of the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts, where she leads strategic efforts on policy advocacy, outreach, education, and research. In a previous role, MaryRose was the inaugural Director of the PPLM ASPIRE Center for Sexual Reproductive Health, successfully integrating Planned Parenthood’s recognized research and training programs. Mazzola also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School, teaching courses on Reproductive Rights, Politics, Policy, and Speechwriting. Her extensive background includes guest lectures at prominent institutions such as Harvard Law School and Boston College Law School. Additionally, she has held leadership roles in local politics, including serving as Senior Advisor for Mayor Michelle Wu’s campaign.
