Masahiro Ono is an expert immunologist focusing on T-cell regulation. His research addresses the mechanisms of T cell activation and regulation in the context of autoimmunity, infections, and cancer. In 2012, he was awarded the BBSRC David Phillips Fellowship, allowing him to establish his lab at UCL. He joined Imperial College London in 2015, where he was appointed Senior Lecturer in February 2018 and promoted to Reader in Immunology in 2020.
