Biography

Massimo Bongiorno received an M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Palermo, Italy, in April 2002, followed by a Technical Licentiate and a Ph.D. degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in December 2004. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electric Power Engineering at Chalmers from 2007 to 2010, after which he was promoted to Associate Professor. Since 2015, he has held a professorial position focusing on power electronic applications in power systems. His research interests include the application of power electronics to power systems, power system dynamics, and power quality. He is also a Senior Member of the IEEE.
