Massoud Pedram received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 1986 and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. He joined the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California, where he is currently a professor. Dr. Pedram's research focuses on developing design methodologies and techniques for low power electronics, including power conversion regulation, timing, and temperature analysis in CMOS VLSI circuits. His research interests span computer-aided design (CAD) for VLSI circuits and systems, emphasizing low power design methodologies, dynamic power management for electronic systems, and noise analysis in integrated circuits. He has published four books, 80 journal papers, and over 200 conference papers. Dr. Pedram has served on the technical program committees for major EDA conferences and has received numerous awards, including the NSF Young Investigator Award in 1994 and the Presidential Faculty Fellows Award in 1996. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and has held various leadership roles within the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.
