Biography

Massoud Pedram received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 1986 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley in 1991. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC), where he is currently a professor. Dr. Pedram has been actively involved in the technical program committees for various Electronic Design Automation (EDA) conferences and has served as chair for several of them. He has authored four books, 80 journal papers, and more than 200 technical conference papers, highlighting his extensive research contributions. His research interests lie in computer-aided design (CAD) for VLSI circuits and systems, focusing on low power design methodologies, dynamic power management, and integrated circuit design. His work has been recognized with numerous awards, and he has served as a fellow and vice president in IEEE organizations. Dr. Pedram continues to explore techniques for enhancing the efficiency of electronic systems and has made significant contributions to the field of low power electronics.
