Dr. Mateja Durovic

Biography

Mateja Durovic is a Professor of Law Technology and co-director of the Centre for Digital Law at King’s College London. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in the School of Law at City University of Hong Kong from 2015 to 2017. Professor Durovic holds a PhD and LLM from the European University Institute, an LLM from the University of Cambridge, and an LLB from the University of Belgrade. He has held positions as a Post-Doc Research Associate at EUI and as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford Law School and the Max Planck Institute of Private International and Comparative Law. His work has been published in leading law journals and prominent publishers. Professor Durovic is a member of the European Law Institute and the Society of Legal Scholars, and his research mainly focuses on Contract Law, Consumer Law, Comparative Law, and the impact of New Technologies on legal frameworks. He provides expertise in Cyber Security as part of the EPSRC-NCSC Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research. Professor Durovic is actively engaged in legal initiatives, such as supporting landmark legal complaints to protect endangered species in Serbia.
