Dr. Mateus Guerra

Biography

Mateus Guerra is a Senior Staff Scientist at Yale School of Medicine, where he conducts research in the field of Digestive Diseases with a focus on hepatoma and gastrointestinal physiology. He received his PhD in Pharmacology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2010, following completion of his MSc in Biochemical Pharmacology in 2004 and BS in Pharmacy in 2000, both also from the same institution. Dr. Guerra has collaborated extensively with other researchers in his field, contributing to significant publications and advancements in understanding liver and gastrointestinal diseases. He was a Visiting Graduate Student at the Universita di Roma - La Sapienza in 2008, which enriched his academic perspective. His research endeavors have included various techniques in fluorescence microscopy and have involved participation in national and international liver research initiatives.
