Biography

Mateusz Ruszkowski is a renowned Professor at the University of Michigan's Department of Astronomy, specializing in theoretical astrophysics. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics within cosmology and astrophysics, including Black Hole Stellar Feedback, AGN Feedback, Galactic Winds, Magnetohydrodynamics, and Plasma Physics. His significant work on Cosmic Rays and Galaxy Clusters has contributed greatly to our understanding of accretion phenomena, relativistic effects, and computational methods in astrophysics. Ruszkowski has held notable positions, including a NASA Chandra Fellowship and Senior Research Associate at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Germany. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge and has a Master's degree from the University of Warsaw.
