Professor Dr. Mathijs Vervloed

Biography

Mathijs Vervloed is a Professor at Radboud University, holding an endowed chair in the Behavioural Science Institute. He is also an Associate Professor in the same institute, focusing on Orthopedagogics and Learning Development. His research interests encompass the fields of augmentative and alternative communication for children with multiple disabilities, visual impairments, and deafblindness. He places a strong emphasis on the integration of children with disabilities into general education settings. Vervloed has been involved with the Milo Foundation to support these initiatives. His extensive academic background includes significant contributions to early intervention strategies and the development of effective communication methods for diverse learner needs.
