Dr. Matt Kovach

Biography

Matt Kovach is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Purdue University, having received his Ph.D. in Social Science from the California Institute of Technology in 2015. His research interests encompass decision theory, behavioral economics, game theory, and microeconomics. Matt has a strong academic background, having completed his undergraduate studies in Economics and Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he developed a solid foundation in these disciplines. As a member of the Daniels School of Business, he has contributed to research that was shortlisted for the prestigious Exeter Prize, recognizing the impactful work of early-career scholars. He also received the Young Faculty Scholar Award, highlighting his potential and contributions within the academic community. In addition to his research, he is actively involved in teaching students and mentoring future economists.
