Dr. Matteo Galizzi

Biography

Matteo M Galizzi is an Associate Professor of Behavioural Science and the Director of the Executive MSc in Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics. He has extensive experience as a behavioural experimental economist, focusing on randomized controlled trials and behavioural experiments in health and public policy contexts. His research primarily explores the applications of behavioural economics in real-world scenarios, such as health interventions and economic responses to crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. He has supervised over 250 RCTs and published numerous influential works, including policy reports and scientific articles on economics and psychology. Galizzi is also active in open science initiatives and serves as an associate editor for several journals in the field. His education includes a PhD in Economics from the University of York and an MSc in Econometrics from the University of Pavia. Galizzi is involved with various networks aimed at improving reproducibility in research. He teaches research methods and behavioural science topics at LSE, contributing to curriculum development and mentorship at both the Executive and MSc levels.
