Matteo Lupi is an Associate Professor leading the Group Crustal Deformation Fluid Flow in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. His research interests focus on investigating upper crust geophysical numerical methods. He completed his PhD in 2010 at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering in Edinburgh, U.K., where his thesis involved numerical simulations of fluid flow induced seismicity in sedimentary basins off-shore Iceland. In 2012, he moved to Bonn, Germany, where he combined seismic methods with borehole data to analyze the effects of passing seismic waves in the East Java basin, Indonesia. Lupi later joined ETH Zurich as a postdoctoral fellow and was awarded an ETH Fellows grant, which allowed him to expand his knowledge in seismology. From 2015, he worked at the University of Geneva as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor, where he studies geothermal systems and utilizes geophysical methods to investigate active and paleo geothermal systems. He teaches several courses including MSc courses on fluids in the crust and BSc courses on geophysics and renewable energies, incorporating field camps and practical applications into his curriculum.
Includes Department of Management, Finance, Economics, and Statistics programs. GMAT is strongly encouraged but not mandatory for most GSEM masters.
